The Worldwide "Knit in Public" Day is scheduled this year for June 14th at 11am -- www.wwkipday.com. Looks like the closest one will be in Central Park's Sheep Meadow (how appropriate!). Updates will be posted at http://knitting.meetup.com/463/. Bring snacks, beverages, blanket or chair, sunglasses, sunscreen, and of course your knitting! Handknit donations will be accepted for local charities.
Anyone up for a knitting picnic in the park? Could be fun!

YOUR OPINION: Would you like to head into the city to see what it's like to knit in public with hundreds (thousands?) of other knitters? Or would you like to try to host our own LI event in Heckscher Park? Let me or Gerri know!
OK! We're doing our own Knit-in-Public in Heckscher Park on Main Street in Huntington, this Saturday, June 14th, from noon-4. Look for the red balloons to find us!
